Types of Bongs

Glass bongs come in more shapes than most people realize. The right style changes how smooth, flavorful and easy your session is. Here is how to pick the right one.

Beaker bongs

The classic wide-base beaker is the most stable shape. More water volume means bigger filtration and cooler hits. Beakers are forgiving, easy to clean and great for beginners.

Straight tubes

Straight tubes pull fast and clear. Less air volume means the flavor hits quickly and the drag is minimal. They are simple, direct and easy to clear in one go.

Recyclers

Recyclers move water through a continuous loop. That keeps the vapor cool and the flavor fresh — especially popular for concentrates and low-temp flower sessions.

Percolator bongs

Percs break bubbles into smaller pieces, adding more water contact and smoother filtration. Common styles include honeycomb, tree, inline and showerhead percs. More percs can mean smoother hits but also more drag and harder cleaning.

Material matters

Borosilicate glass is the standard for good reason. It handles heat changes without cracking, is easy to clean and does not add flavor to the smoke. Avoid thin, cheap soda-lime glass that can break from normal use.
